I'd appreciate a helping hand from someone who knows this field. I'm a writer researching a book (fiction) for readers from 9-12 years of age. The central character is a 12-year-old girl who switches from gymnastics to diving. I need to find out about how competition rules differ for younger divers--i.e., do they use spingboards and/or platforms that are not as high? Do younger competitors do fewer dives in meets?
