There is only one competitor, you. Winning and losing in not important here but how you feel about your performance. How good would you feel about winning if your performance was below what you knew you could do? Or losing because someone else was a bit better?
First, practise, practise, practise. The more you do something (and this applies to almost everything), the greater your confidence becomes.... and also your performance.
Second, focus. As you learn to concentrate on what you are doing and what you are going to do then everything else will fall away. After a while it won't matter whether you are in practise or a meet. Just you and what you are trying to do.
Third, in between dives, concentrate on your next dive. Forget the other divers. What the other divers do should have no effect on how you perform.
So have confidence about your ability to dive and concentrate on satisfying yourself and your nervousness will disappear.
