Do you mean for all dives, or basics or the optionals? And do they stay together when you do a tuck kick out, or do you lose them once straightened there also?

Is it all your legs, or just from the knees down, or simply more your ankles/feet?? Is it actually from a twist or are you sure you're straight and it's just separation?

If you aren't dry, you could be attempting to squeeze them tightly together and as a result, causing them to slip apart (the harder you try, sometimes the more likely they are to slip past one another and end up splitting). But this can also happen when totally dry.

Can/do you keep them together for entry drills??

I'd love to give any suggestions that may help if you let me know more of what the actual problem is and when it happens. I have a similar problem (or maybe even the same one), and I can share what seems to sometimes work for me.

The tough part is if it's happening and you just don't feel it at all.

Oh and by "not together", do you mean like split/bow-legged or split/crossed??
