Long time diving
coach Tom Trapp has
replaced Ron Piemonte as Head Diving
Coach at Tualatin Hills Diving Club. Trapp steps up from his
position as
assistant coach and assumes his duties as of January, 2002.
He has been the
assistant coach at the Tualatin Hills Dive Club in Beaverton,
Oregon since
1999. Prior to that he had coached for almost twenty years
in Northern
California at the Senior, Junior Olympic, High School, Junior
College and
Collegiate levels. He has produced many national level Junior
Olympic divers
and has served as a United States International coach several
times. In 1998
he served as assistant coach for the Team Orlando in Florida,
the largest
diving program in the United States. He has also served as
head coach for
Santa Clara Divers, Foothill College, West Valley College
and assistant coach
for Stanford University, all Northern California teams.
Trapp has extensive diving administration and meet management
experience.
He has been Chairman of the Northern California and Oregon
Diving
Associations as well as Region VII of United States Diving.
Other experience
includes; meet director for the National Senior Outdoor Diving
Championships,
NIKE World Masters Games, Masters National Diving Championships,
PAC 10 and
Big 12 Diving Championships.

produce the same high level results the team has been accustomed
