That was until he met Karen LaFace while the two were studying at Brown University in 1997. Club founder Bev Boys will be on the edge of the pool this summer, but said she’s there more to inspire than instruct now that Fuchko and Owen have returned. “I’m a good motivator for all levels,” said Boys at a practice last week at South Surrey Indoor Pool, where the club trains twice week.
